CRITERIA FOR POTENTIAL CCSC VOLUNTEERS
1. Characteristics:
- At least 21 years old as of September 1 of the enrollment year
- Some college experience
- Exhibited interest in and desire to serve the poor
- Commitment to challenge one's self through exhibited understanding of and participation in mission of CCSC
- Background check
2. Responsibilities:
- Respect and abide by CCSC contract
Participate in all of the following:
- 4 scheduled retreats
- Support Process
- Weekly supervision at job site
- Evaluation process and job description review at job site
- Weekly spirituality and community nights
- Work full work week (at least 35 hours)
- Promptly contact CCSC staff hould situation arise where responsibilities are unable to be met
3. Dismissal From CCSC May Occur If Volunteer:
- Takes on additional paid work
- Receives extra funds from identified agency/organization
- Uses alcohol excessively or irresponsibly
- Engages in criminal contact
- Uses any illegal substances
- Becomes a detriment to volunteer or larger community, organization, or the CCSC
